California Academy of Sciences- Sustainable Architecture

If you are going to be in the California and San Fransisco Area check out this amazing museum and science center. It's a great example of sustainable design and green roofs, and it's been in design and in the making for years and took over $500 million to build.

Below is their website and address!

My Thesis Presentation!

As all of you know I've been away from CreateH for the past few weeks not posting as much because I've been hard at work, not just at my new career but also at my Senior thesis paper. I'm still working on the paper, but I have my presentation here for you, I gave the presentation in class on Weds. and I got my grade back and I'm proud to say I got a 9.5 out of 10! Not bad. So I uploaded my powerpoint for you to take a look and see what I've been working so hard on!

Love this!

I love that my friends and family send me inspirational images and pictures, cards, etc. It's important to stay motivated and even though times can be rough and stressful, I love keeping cards around with sayings like this one. It's especially relevant to me right now, since it's crunch time in these last two weeks of class and graduation approaching. With my new job at Sherwin-Williams and my blog here, I feel like I'm finally following my dreams, and I'm proud of it. The picture is from Etsy.com, search thank you cards or Leaves & Letters.

Thank-You Cards

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You....
Because of the exhibit showcase I just put on, we've been working on invitations, press releases, installations and so much more, but one of the things I think is still important in art and in etiquette is Thank You cards. SFGirlbythebay blog just put on a great blog post about Thank You cards, but I scoured Etsy.com to bring you the best.

(All above photos from Etsy.com, search Thank You cards.)

What do you think? Do you still send Thank You cards?

Shameless Plug

My Museums Studies class divided up into groups this semester and my group decided to do a showcase on Hope for Southern Sudan, an organization that raises money to build schools in Sudan and increase literacy. I think it's a great cause and if you are going to be near Rochester, NY next Thursday, check out the opening reception for the exhibit! It's at St John Fisher College on East Avenue in the Basil entryway near the Mac Lab & Leather Couches. I was the exhibit designer and put the display together! I'll add pictures later.
Hope you can make it!
